Led by guitarist/vocalist Paul Stott (two-time winner of Guitar Center’s “King of the Blues” Competition), the quartet is widely considered to be the premier blues band in the Orlando Area. Other members Rick Plate (harp and vocals), Joey D. (bass and vocals), and Dave Fiaccato (drums) contribute to their old-school, Southern-blues sound. Stott, who’s also veteran of the Chicago blues scene, provides clean, intense riffs and puts an urgent spin on classic standards and originals.

It is with great sadness that I tell you of the passing of Bert Gottfried.

Bert was the Oliva rep that many of you have enjoyed listening to and talking with at the cigar events that Bert did in our store. In the cigar industry, Bert was a legend. He was a wealth of knowledge, having been in this industry over 50 years. As a former salesman, I admired Bert for so many traits, but mostly his enthusiasm and passion for what he did. We are all better for having known you, Bert. You will be missed.

It is hard to believe that ten years ago, this Sunday, our morning was tragically interrupted by the most horrific terrorist attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor.

All of us have our memories of where we were, what we were doing, and how we felt about that assault. Collectively, our lives changed forever.

We ask that you take a moment and say a prayer for those who lost their lives, their families and the public servants on duty that day who risked their lives to save others. Additionally, we must remember all the heros on the streets of NYC, at the Pentagon and in the air that fateful Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001.
